Testing is the opportunity for students to demonstrate their proficiency in Pai Lum Tao in order to be able advance and learn more complicated material. Rising Dragon feels testing provides structure for the student as well as goals in order to help them attain their ideals in martial arts.

Testing in Pai Lum Tao is second to none. All students must demonstrate all previous material at every rank test. It takes approximately one hour of testing per rank, so for example, a test for Green level can take six hours of rigorous testing under experienced, qualified sifus (instructors).  The test for Black sash is a three day and night event of continuous training that starts Thursday afternoon and ends Sunday morning. Students are allowed about 4 hours of sleep each day. This test is often held at the international headquarters in Orlando, Florida where dozens of SiFus, SiGungs, and the SiTaiGung (Grandmaster) continuously examine the students.  Testing is by invitation of the Sifu only. When the Sifu determines the student is proficient in the material and has demonstrated good protocol and behavior, a student is invited to test. Students under 18 must have parents and school teachers sign a form that indicates the student has been well behaved at home and school, showing respect, and is doing chores and homework.  Tests are available once a month under trained and professional instructors.  An awards ceremony is provided at the end of testing. While testing is private, all family members and friends are invited to the awards and exchange of rank ceremony.  Passing students receive a sash and certification of their new rank.

Testing at Rising Dragon Martial Arts is very thorough and provided by experienced and professional instructors ranked in Pai Lum Tao and members of the White Dragon Warrior Society and the U.S. Chinese Koushu Federation.

The testing fee includes time of testing, sash, and rank certificate.  Students who pass their tests have official records of their rank kept by the school and the White Dragon Warrior Society headquarters in Orlando, Fl.

Because of the international recognition of Pai Lum Tao system and Grandmaster Glenn C. Wilson, students who hold rank in Pai Lum Tao are recognized, welcomed and received all over the world in the most distinguished circles of kung fu and martial arts.
